Benefits of improvisation:
According to a 2020 study published in the journal Thinking Skills and Creativity, researchers found that doing just 20 minutes of improv can increase creativity, well-being and our ability to tolerate uncertainty. https://www.npr.org/2022/10/19/1129907651/improv-can-build-confidence-heres-how-to-apply-it-to-your-everyday-life
And, in Psychology today:

Psychological studies have shown that improv generally boosts creativity and confidence.
Studies also show that improv generally decreases stress, anxiety, and uncertainty intolerance.
Last class today June 26th
As I head into the summer heat and vacation time, I’m thinking about next year’s classes. What can I do different? What can I do better?
I’m a little obsessive about my students. I want them to learn, but I want them to enjoy learning. I want them to see learning English as an opportunity to open doors and communicate with others. And have fun doing it!
That’s why I’ve combined my English teaching background with my acting background. For my students to role play, explore language and drama like they are in the same glove. What better way to explore language than to play it out?
Come join me in September 2025 when the journey continues!
