A focused, supportive approach

The work is focused, but the process is playful. We experiment, take risks, and try different ways of approaching a character, allowing imagination and curiosity to lead us toward something truthful.

Classes are supportive and collaborative, giving you the space to develop your skills, take creative risks, and become more present and connected in your work.

About Jillian

Jillian Quist is a professionally trained actor, director, and acting teacher with extensive experience in theatre, television, and performance in the U.S. and Europe. Her work has included stage and television performance, including Dutch national television.

Her training includes a BFA in Theatre from Emerson College, HB Studio in New York, A.C.T. in San Francisco, and study with the Royal Shakespeare Company in London.

Jillian has taught acting and directed productions for children, and adults in the U.S. and Europe, with a focus on scene study, character development, improvisation, and practical performance skills.

These classes are for adults who want to explore acting — whether you’re developing your skills, deepening your understanding of the craft, or looking for a creative challenge. Different levels of experience are welcome; what matters is a willingness to engage with the work.
